What to expect from a meeting
Our meetings are friendly and welcoming, you can expect to see the following -

Meeting roles
Speaking Contests
Two to three members present a 5 - 7 minute speech on a topic of their choice that they have practiced in advance
Members are invited to make a 1 - 2 minute speech on a topic given to them on the night. This is to help us practice impromptu speaking
Members provide evaluations on all prepared and improprtu speeches. Feedback is focussed on providing positive recommendations
We provide refreshments during the break to allow members to network and catch up
Members also take on other roles during the meeting such as the Toastmaster of the Evening (who runs the meeting), timer or grammarian
Twice a year we run speaking contests at club level, with winners going on to compete against other Toastmasters in the area. We also have a Tall Tales contest which runs at our annual club dinner
